Are you a veteran of America’s Armed Forces? Do you have a loved one or close friend who is?
If so, consider delighting them beyond all reason with an exact replica of the vehicle or vessel in which they served.
Be it a ship, aircraft or land warfare or support vehicle, we can recreate not only the type of machine in which they and others depended to get the job done, but the exact one he or she used to help ensure freedom for us all.
We can recreate, in scale model form, the correct version for the period in which they served, with the proper equipment, the correct markings, in historically accurate colors and even with the right degree of weathering, wear and/or tear the vehicle had at the time it was being put to such good use by you or your beloved veteran.
Decades of experience allow us to combine great care, honed skill and exact precision with state-of-the-art materials, techniques and new millennium scale modeling resources to bring to life in three powerful dimensions something which will speak to the heart like no other inanimate object can, except perhaps the real thing. We’ve seen it. Veterans who have received our finished work typically beam with much joy, while some are brought to tears of gratitude. All soon find a hallowed place in which to display the agent of their utterly selfless sacrifice, and justly so.
Please take a moment to view our latest (below), a 1/48th scale replica of a Douglas AD-6 Skyraider as flown by First Lieutenant Al Potenza, Marine Air Group 31, VMA 324, the "Devil Dogs," Marine Corps Air Station Opa Loca, Miami, Florida, during the spring of 1957. This model is no larger than a typical dinner plate, yet its 5 inch HVAR rocket fins were hand-lapped to a thickness of a sheet of paper. Its cockpit is fully fitted with the latest in cast resin instrument panels, with dials covered in clear epoxy to replicate glass and a "glass" gyro-stabilized gunsight installed in its place in front of the pilot. Although it is not possible to see much of the Wright R-3350-26WD 18 cylinder engine, it is nonetheless equipped with a handmade copper wire ignition harness, just like the real thing. Even the canopy mechanism has its proper canvas covering, and colors for the craft, right down to its individually masked and hand air-brushed wing-tip diamonds, were all carefully researched. (We have an extensive "hard-copy" reference library, helping to restore any foggy memories of what was what and when.)
Lieutenant Potenza, who went on to fly McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantoms as a Major in Vietnam prior to "retiring"from the Marine Corp, is thrilled to have "his Skyraider" back and on display in his home.
From the Revolutionary War to the 21st Century and whether an armored combat vehicle, an aircraft, a ship, submarine or even a spacecraft, we will not accept a commission unless we are confident the results will exceed your expectations for accuracy, authenticity and all-out "wow" factor! You can also specify the level and degree of detail to stay within any budget.
We thank our fighting men and women. We are humbled in their presence. No effort is too great to give them what can only be a very small token of appreciation compared to the magnitude of their service to our country. If you would like to join us in saying ‘Thank You’ to a particular member of our armed forces, past or present, please drop us a line and we can discuss what may well be the gift that truly ‘keeps on giving.’
